Miriam Katharine MacDonald (born July 26, 1987 in Oakville, Ontario) is a Canadian actress, best known as Emma Nelson on the hit television series Degrassi: The Next Generation.

She was awarded a dancing scholarship at the prestigious Canadian Children's Dance Theatre located in Toronto.
She has taken acting classes with renowned television actor Dean Armstrong.
