Robert James Ritchie (born January 17, 1971 in Romeo, Michigan), known by his stage name Kid Rock, is an American musician, actor and rapper. He has sold over 24 million albums since the release of his debut album Grits Sandwiches for Breakfast in 1990. He broke through into the mainstream on his Atlantic Records debut album "Devil Without A Cause". It sold 11 million albums on the back of the strength of its 3rd single, "Bawitdaba".
