Spacey was born Kevin Spacey Fowler in South Orange, New Jersey, the son of Kathleen A. Spacey (1931-2003), a secretary, and Thomas Geoffrey Fowler (1924-1992), a technical writer. He has two older siblings: a sister, Julie, and a brother, Randy.
