Gabriela Spanic (born Gabriela Elena Španić Utrera, 10 December 1973, Ortiz, Guárico, Venezuela), popularly known as Gaby Spanic, is a Venezuelan actress best known for her roles in telenovelas. Spanic was married to actor Miguel de León. Around that time, she left Mexico to film a telenovela in Colombia alongside actor Jose Angel Llamas. Eventually, in 2002, Gabriela and Miguel divorced, and she wrote in her autobiography later about how her ex-husband had physically abused her throughout their relationship. She received the title role in Doña Barbara.
