Conway Wickliffe
Biography
Wickliffe's contribution lies in several multi-million-dollar films. He was a master artist as well. He made robots for the Tomb Raider films starring Angelina Jolie, worked on the James Bond film Die Another Day, as well as Children of Men, Black Hawk Down, and V for Vendetta.
The September 25th accident in England was followed by several honours and tributes at several places. A service held in October pulled in more than 300 mourners, including Christian Bale, who played Batman in Batman Begins. Wickliffe was honoured at a tangi in Te Kuiti. He was a family man loved by all his friends and extended family.
Shane Law, Wickliffe's High school friend said: "He was passionate about making machines and cars for the blockbuster films he worked on. He was our superhero," "He was our own movie star." Law said that Wicliffe came up with outstanding inventions every time Law met him.
