Carol is patron to a number of charities, primarily based upon Children's welfare. One of Carol's main charities is the Children's Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS). Carol was also a contestant on the British TV game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. supporting the charity NSPCC.
