Early Years: 1959 - 1979
Adams was born in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, to English parents. Adams also has Maltese ancestry as his grandmother was from Malta. The self-titled debut album was released in February of 1980, and marked the beginning of what was to become a long songwriting partnership between Adams and co-writer Jim Vallance.
